Independence was an old, not so appealing town. We saw the Temple Site, the Community of Christ Temple, and the Visitor's Center where we got to experience a little of what the pioneers did...

It was neat to visit Liberty Jail, where Joseph spent 4 months with the other brethren. I can't imagine going through what he did and still staying so strong - what a man!
That's Joseph Smith behind us writing in his journal. This is the actual jail floor he was in. They built the walls as a replica of what it was. The ceiling was so low that three of the five prisoners had to stoop while walking. One had back pain for the rest of his life!

This is Auntie Sue - don't get your hopes up.... we're still thinking about coming, but we don't know what the Lord has planned for us, so we'll have to wait and see while we pray..We had such a great time! We miss you guys so much. Have fun and Brina, break a leg! Go girl!
