Sariah left for Girls' Camp today. She has been waiting for this for months now - I know she'll have a great time, cos she's the best! Not to mention, the day was full of 'errands' running around and getting things done that have been waiting to get done for weeks. The laundry piles up, but we manage to get through it. The dishes stack up, but we eventually take care of it.
What matters the most is what you do with the ones you love in the time you're given. This was brought up very clearly and insightfully by my loving husband. He had a great epiphany and made sense of it all! - The meaning of life. The purpose of life.... to love and serve.
True that we may all know this, but do we really live it? Do we stop satisfying our carnal desires and appetites each day and ask "What can I do for someone other than myself?" Or are we all so self-centered in thought about what to get done for 'me'....
As I try to apply this to my life on a daily basis, I see things a little more clearly, little more spiritually, and a little more eternally.
